Poway Cruisers Members Picnic at Lake Poway on Saturday, September 19, 2026!

If you’re not a Poway resident, there is a parking fee but no problem, the club has prepaid the parking fee. Just tell the ranger at the gate that you are here for the Poway Cruisers Picnic in Gazebo Area 6, or the George Cowman picnic. Either should work. Also, military has free entry so if you have a military ID, show that to the ranger and save the Club some parking fees.

If you are interested in organizing and setting up some games for this year’s picnic, please let George know.

As we’ve done in the past, we’ll have the parking area adjacent to Area 6 cordoned off and reserved for member’s hot rods, customs, and classics. There are 22 spots, with several marked for handicapped. The handicap rules are enforced, so remember to bring you placard.

We’ll have an area designated for pop up canopies. We will have three 10X10s, but will need a few more. Let George know if you can bring a pop up. Do bring your own chairs.

The main entrees – burgers, brats, hot links, hot dogs – buns, condiments, plates and utensils are provided by the Club. Everything else is pot luck so sign up to bring a dish to share, enough for 7-10 servings. We will have electricity if the food needs to be kept hot. Also, bring your own liquid refreshments. 

Contact Bill ([email protected]) to let him know what you plan to bring and if you can help with set up and/or clean up. Also, Register below by September 16 so we have a good headcount for the groceries.
