What This Forum Is For
This email forum is a place for club members to talk cars, share tips, ask questions, plan events, and stay connected. The goal is to help each other and enjoy being part of the club. This list is comprised of our club membership and will be used to keep members informed of upcoming events and news pertaining to the club. This is a Closed Group and ONLY available to Poway Cruisers Car Club MEMBERS. Members may opt out at any time HOWEVER you will miss out on club-related information if you do opt out.
Who Can Join
The forum is for current club members ONLY!
If you use this list, you are expected to follow these guidelines to help keep the group useful and friendly.
What to Post
Ask questions or share advice about cars, repairs, mods, and driving;
Talk about club events and activities;
Share stories, photos, and helpful resources;
Offer help or opinions in a constructive way;
Keep posts related to the club or of interest to most members.
How to Treat Each Other
Be respectful. Not everyone will agree on everything, and that’s fine;
Keep things civil;
No personal attacks or name-calling;
Disagree with ideas, not people;
A little patience goes a long way.
If Things Get Heated
Car discussions can get passionate;
If a thread starts going off the rails:
Take a breath before replying;
Don’t keep rehashing the same argument;
It’s okay to step back;
Moderators may step in if needed to keep things from escalating.
What Not to Post
Pleas DO NOT:
Post spam;
Sell things on the site (i.e. cars, car parts, shirts, crafts, etc.);
*Use Facebook Marketplace, Next Door, Offer Up…to sell your things on the Open Market;
Share illegal content or encourage unsafe or illegal behavior;
Post offensive or threatening material;
Share someone else’s private information;
Talk politics.
Moderation
Moderators are volunteers trying to keep the forum running smoothly. They may:
Remind people of these guidelines;
Remove posts that cross the line;
Limit posting access if necessary;
We’ll do our best to be fair and reasonable.
